Google Authenticator Guide for Knowmetheus

What is Google Authenticator?

Google Authenticator is a two-factor authentication (2FA) app that generates time-based one-time passcodes (TOTP) to provide additional security for your Knowmetheus login.

1. Install the Google Authenticator App

For Android:

Google Authenticator on Play Store

  1. Open the Google Play Store.

  2. Search for Google Authenticator.

  3. Tap Install and wait for the installation to complete.

 For iOS:

  1. Open the App Store.

  2. Search for Google Authenticator.

  3. Tap Download, then confirm with Face ID or Touch ID if required.

2. Connecting Knowmetheus to Google Authenticator

  • Log in to Knowmetheus and navigate to Security Settings.

  • Select Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).

  • Scan the QR code displayed in Knowmetheus:

    • Open the Google Authenticator App.

    • Tap the “+” button.

    • Select “Scan a QR Code”.

    • Scan the QR code shown in Knowmetheus.

  • Alternatively, if scanning doesn’t work, enter the manual key provided by Knowmetheus.

  • A 6-digit verification code will now appear in the app.

  1. Go to the Knowmetheus login page.

  2. Enter your password as usual.

  3. Open Google Authenticator and copy the 6-digit code for Knowmetheus.

  4. Enter the code in the login field.

  5. Confirm and log in.

🔹 Note: The codes change every 30 seconds. If a code expires, wait for the next one.

Troubleshooting & Common Issues

Problem 1: Knowmetheus does not accept the code

✅ Ensure that your phone’s date & time settings are set to automatic.
✅ Double-check that you are using the latest 6-digit code (codes refresh every 30 seconds).

Problem 2: I lost my phone

✅ If you saved the backup code, use it to recover access.
✅ If not, contact Knowmetheus support for account recovery.
